Yala VILLA
This appealing lodge, designed by Sri Lankan architect Channa Daswatte, has a simple open-plan design consisting of two long verandahs with half walls opening out to the central garden and swimming pool. One verandah houses the living and dining areas and the other has the sleeping accommodation.
Interiors have polished cement floors and walls in soothing colours of sandstone and sea green highlighted with dramatic images of Yala’s wildlife photographed by the Sri Lankan owner himself. Yala Villa is ideal for families or friends travelling together. Up to 12 guests can be accommodated here.
For added convenience, Yala Villa features an on-site electric vehicle charging unit, supporting a sustainable travel experience.
Facilities and Accommodation
Our villa features three elegantly appointed, air-conditioned ensuite bedrooms designed to provide both comfort and flexibility. The master room includes a king-size bed along with a sofa bed, making it ideal for triple occupancy. The other two spacious bedrooms each offer a king-size bed and two sofa beds, comfortably accommodating up to four guests per room. This versatile layout makes the villa perfectly suited for families or groups of friends seeking a relaxing and convenient stay together.
In addition to our indoor accommodations, the villa also offers a thoughtfully designed luxury tent, providing a unique and comfortable outdoor stay experience. The tent is well-appointed and features an attached private toilet, ensuring convenience without compromising on comfort. Ideal for accommodating two to three guests, it serves as a perfect option for those seeking a blend of nature and modern amenities.
The villa can be booked as a whole or by individual rooms (subject to availability, especially on weekdays).Â
Yala Villa offers a relaxing stay with a poolside living area, home-cooked Sri Lankan meals, and personalized service in a peaceful setting.
The living area overlookng the swimming pool is equipped with cable TV, selection of movies, and board games. The dining area is furnished with a 12 seater dining table. Snacks are also served on the pool deck. Traditional Sri Lankan cuisine, snacks and BBQs are on offer here. Meals can be ordered from the in-house menu. Since Yala is in a remote area, it is best to discuss your meal preferences at the time of booking so that the staff can be better prepared. Guests are welcome to bring their own alcoholic beverages. The swimming pool is ideal for cooling off at any time of day.Â

How To Find Us?
Yala Villa located just 15 minutes from the Yala National Park entrance, is a new addition to this remote corner of the island. The villa is ideal for a family or friends travelling together. Yala is located in the deep south and can be accessed via the south coast or the hill country. Tissamaharama, with its ancient temples and lotus-filled lakes as well as the sacred shrine of Kataragama is about 45 minutes from here. The Bundala bird sanctuary is 30 minutes away.
